The courses biophysics, physical chemistry, mathematics and statistics are conceived such that they ensure continuity with other subjects taught at the Faculty. The students acquire, in addition to the necessary general knowledge, extensive readings of those concepts that serve them to understand the mathematical apparatus and physical or physico-chemical phenomena they encounter in their further studies. The biophysics and physical chemistry courses equip students with the basics and methodology of experimental work, including knowledge on the basics of device technology.
The subject computer technology is focussed on practical usage of text and spreadsheet editors, in relation with the specific needs of pharmaceutical tasks. The department also offers a course on basic statistics for doctoral students, which introduces the statistical techniques currently most used for the research conducted at the pharmaceutical pharmacy.
