Doctoral Dissertation Themes

Green solvent extraction for pharmaceutical and contaminant analysis

During this thesis, the candidate should develop sample preparation methodologies using so-denoted tailored solvents that present alternatives to classical harmful extractants. These include deep eutectic solvents and ionic liquids. A particular issue to be investigated is solvent support by on hydrophobic supports. The methodologies should be adapted to analyte separation by liquid chromatography or capillary electrophoresis depending on the nature of investigated analytes and matrices. It is planned that the candidate will undertake a research stay at a foreign institution to widen his/her expertise.
