Getting to Hradec Králové

By car

The fastest option is to use highways, especially D11, if  travelling from Prague. See the map. When using the highway, having an e-vignette is required (buy here). However other roads where no toll is necessary can be used as well.

Please note that the speed limits are 50 km/h in urban areas, 130 km/h on a highway and 90 km/h elsewhere.

By bus

When travelling from Prague, there is a choice of numerous buses linking our capital city with Hradec Králové. Most of them depart from the Florenc Bus Terminal each 30 to 60 minutes. The journey takes less than 2 hours.

To reach Florenc bus terminal from the airport, you have several options.

  • You can board bus No. 119 and as far as the station „Dejvická“. There you have to take the underground and reach the bus station „Florenc“ (see map of the underground, line B or C).
  • You can also use special bus line „AE“, which is a little more expensive, however it provides direct connection to the main railway station in Prague every 30 minutes.

Both bus stops are in front of the Teminal A. We do not recommend using taxi as it may become quite expensive.

In Hradec Králové you arrive at the city bus terminal.

By train

If travelling from Prague, you have to reach the city main railway station („Hlavní nádraží“). The easiest way would be to use the Prague underground (vide supra, line C) or the special bus line AE from the airport.

If not travelling via Prague, make sure you reach the city of Pardubice, where you can change trains easily. Trains to Hradec Králové usually go every 30 minutes.
