Ivone Cristina Igreja Sá, PharmD, PhD. has been awarded the prestigious international prize by the Dimitris N. Chorafas Foundation in collaboration with the Weizmann Institute of Science in Israel (Dimitris N. Chorafas Prize) for her research on the study of the effect of soluble endoglin on liver diseases.
Ivone Cristina Igreja Sá, PharmD, PhD. is a Pharmacology and Toxicology PhD graduate. She wrote her dissertation entitled "Modulation of cholesterol and bile acid metabolism via soluble endoglin and pharmacotherapy." She worked at the Department of Biological and Medical Sciences under the supervision of Prof. Petr Nachtigal and in close collaboration with Prof. Stanislav Mičuda from the Institute of Pharmacology at the Faculty of Medicine in Hradec Králové.
She received the award from the Vice-Rector of Charles University, Prof. Jan Kuklík, at the Scientific Council of Charles University meeting on 19 October 2023.
