Bibliometric analyses of research institutions in the Czech Republic examining individual scientific disciplines and their citation rates have placed the Faculty of Pharmacy, Charles University in Hradec Králové, among the highest ranked research institutions in a number of branches. The analyses were conducted using applications of the Institute for Democracy and Economic Analysis (IDEA), which is part of an academic unit called CERGE-EI.

However, in relation to the above results we should mention that this is only one of the criteria used for evaluating scientific activities in each branch, so this evaluation should not be interpreted as a definitive quality ranking of scientific activities performed by the relevant work units. As the application designers have correctly pointed out, the results should be treated with caution, not least due to the fact that no information on the material and total human resources in the evaluated work units was available. In addition, the analyses do not consider all the results of the work units, but only their publication rates in journals that have been assigned the AIS citation index by the Web of Science database.
