The student will receive login details, i.e., login_name and temporary password, when he/she provides Student ID card at the Card Service Centre. The account is set up automatically and is valid for almost all Faculty and university applications. The temporary password is valid only for 5 days. Within this period, you must change the password to your own password, which you must not disclose to anyone.

Please pay attention to your password; without it, you will not only not get into the Faculty network, but you will not be able to take the exam or read the Faculty email. There are special requirements for the quality of the password - it must be a combination of upper and lower case letters, numbers, and special characters (such as *, /, +); the password must be at least 6 characters long and must not contain your name. The password is valid for 1 year. You will be notified several times in advance by email when your password is about to expire; change your password in time.

Student login details are valid for all Faculty, and Charles University applications, only the method of enrollment differs:

  • Only login (login_name) is used when logging into SIS, Moodle, and other CU applications.
  • The full form (login_name@faf.cuni.cz) is used when logging in to the online email and Faculty intranet.
  • The university form (login_name@cuni.cz) is used when logging into the Wi-Fi eduroam.
