- It is compulsory for students to arrange a Charles University Student Card. However, the student can choose whether he/she needs only the free basic version of the card or pay an extra CZK 230 for an ISIC card, which allows you to enjoy a range of benefits. However, the student will need to renew his/her license (and pay again) each year to enjoy the benefits of the card; otherwise, it will continue to operate only in its basic version.
- The CU Card Service Centres for Hradec Králové can be found in the Na Kotli dormitory (Na Kotli 1147), on the ground floor on the left (see the link above for opening hours). Bring your ID and money for the fee (for ISIC cards or replacement after loss/damage). You do not need a photo of yourself; the photo (camera capture) is done directly at the Card Service Centre.
