Instruction for foreign students interested in participation on ERASMUS+ program

Are you interested in an ERASMUS stay/study at Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Králové?

If yes, please follow the next steps:

1. Check if there is a bilateral agreement of your University with our Faculty – see here.
   If there is no bilateral agreement based on the rules of our university, we can accept you neither to the study (Student Mobility for Studies) nor to a practical placement (Student Mobility for Traineeship).

   • Due to language incompatibilities, we cannot accept students for placements in community or hospital pharmacies unless they understand Czech.

2. Choose whether you are interested in the study (one or two semesters in English ) or in working on a diploma thesis / research project. You can possibly choose both during one fellowship. See detailed information.
   In the case of the study, the level of the knowledge of English language should be adequate for the study (B2!) -  At this step, please do not contact anyone from our faculty, this would be too preliminary^[i].

3. Contact your faculty coordinator, who personally or via the Faculty staff will be responsible for ERASMUS Exchange and will officially nominate you by an email to our Faculty coordinators. This nomination should be addressed according to the country:

   • For Austria, Croatia, Bulgaria, Estonia, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Serbia, Slovenia and Slovakia to Prof. Přemysl Mladěnka, Ph.D. (mladenkap@faf.cuni.cz)

   • For Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Great Britain, the Netherlands, Norway, Spain and Sweden to Prof. Lucie Nováková, Ph.D. (novakoval@faf.cuni.cz)

   This nomination has to contain:

   • Your name
   • The degree (a Master or Bachelor student and the year of the study / a postgraduate student /a graduate but not a postgraduate student)
   • Your email address
   • The approximate time of the arrival and duration of your stay
   • Selection of the study^[ii] and/or research project/thesis. In the latter case, please add a list of three chosen laboratories as well (www.faf.cuni.cz/Foreign/Erasmus/Theses/ ) in order of priority.
   • Possibly a CV (not obligatory) but in the case that you have already taken part in any other fellowship or you have participated in some research project(s), it may be an advantage.

   Nomination deadline:

   • Nomination deadline for winter semester/full academic year: 15th April
   • Nomination deadline for summer semester: 15th September

4. Wait for approval of our Faculty coordinator, you will receive an email.

5. Follow instructions http://www.cuni.cz/UK-928.html and, most importantly, log into on-line database https://is.cuni.cz/webapps/erasmus/.

   A sending institution nominates its students via online nomination form:

   Future correspondence with Faculty of Pharmacy (accommodation etc.) should be conducted via the Department of International Relations at the Faculty of Pharmacy (Hana Krieglerova, MSc., krieglerova@faf.cuni.cz).

[i] Exceptions are postgraduate students interested in doing a specific research in a particular group

[ii] As mentioned above, the level of English should be adequate. The knowledge of the English should be sufficient for attending lectures and taking exams in English.
