Research Board
The Research Board of the Faculty of Pharmacy of Charles University is a self-governing academic body of the Faculty that contributes to the development of its educational, scientific, and research activities.
It discusses and approves matters related to the Faculty’s scientific and educational activities, in particular the accreditation of study programmes, habilitation procedures and proceedings for appointment as professor, as well as the Faculty’s strategic direction in the fields of science and research.
When appointing the members of the Research Board, the Dean ensures that distinguished experts representing the principal fields of education and scientific disciplines developed at the Faculty are included, both from the Faculty of Pharmacy of Charles University and from other academic and professional institutions. As a rule, within three months of appointment, the Dean submits to the Academic Senate a proposal for the dismissal and appointment of members of the Research Board.
The Research Board comments on fundamental issues concerning the development of the Faculty and, through its activities, contributes to maintaining the high standard of the educational and creative activities of the Faculty of Pharmacy of Charles University in accordance with the Higher Education Act and the internal regulations of Charles University.
