Synthesis and study photosensitizers for photodynamic therapy
The work will focus on the preparation of subphthalocyanines, phthalocyanines and possibly BODIPY compounds useful in the field of photodynamic therapy. Emphasis will be placed on the preparation of water-soluble compounds that can be further provided for their biological evaluation. After the synthesis of the desired compounds, their spectral, photophysical (fluorescence, singlet oxygen production) and electrochemical properties will be studied as part of the thesis.
