We had a great opportunity to meet prof. Klungel during his short visit at the Department of Social and Clinical Pharmacy. The purpose of this visit was to develop collaboration in the field of pharmacoepidemiology. All the projects conducted at the Department of Social and Clinical Pharmacy were presented and discussed. Undergraduate students, PhD students of pharmacy or medicine, pharmacists, and physicians could have attended his lecture – ‘Pharmacoepidemiology – important method in analysing the therapeutic value of medicine in real life’. The lecture was very impressive and lead to broad discussion. Finally, prof. Klungel informed about upcoming meeting – “34th conference of pharmacoepidemiology & therapeutic risk management” which is held in August 22nd – 25th 2018 in Prague and introduced the role of the International Society for Pharmacoepidemiology (ISPE). The conference is organized under supervision of prof. Klungel and prof. Vlček as a local coordinator. Everyone interested in pharmacoepidemiology or related fields is invited.
