Interruption of Studies

Interruptions of studies are governed primarily by Article 6 of the Code of Study and Examination of CU and the Directive announcing the procedure for interrupting studies.

You can only interrupt your studies for very serious (especially medical) reasons. However, you will not be allowed to interrupt your studies if you do not fulfill your study obligations. You may be allowed to interrupt your studies repeatedly, but only once per year.

Suppose you do not take the Final State Examination on the specified date, but you meet the conditions for taking it. In that case, your studies may be interrupted until you can register for the next exam date.

The application form can be found in the "Student Forms (Intranet)", precisely the "Application Form".

The interruption of studies is usually completed at the beginning of the semester (before the maximum study period expires).

When the study is interrupted, you are not a student at that time, and you cannot stay in the Czech Republic if your VISA is granted for study purposes.
