Synthesis of photosensitizers and evaluation of their photophysical properties

The project will involve synthesis of various macrocyclic dyes (phthalocyanines, BODIPYs and related compounds) for the applications connected with interaction with light (e.g. photodynamic therapy, fluorescence sensors). Besides the synthesis, the work will involve also photophysical characterisation of the prepared compounds and potential cooperation with other researchers working on the biological evaluation of the concerned dyes.
