The first-ever FaF Quiz took place on Thursday, March 13, 2025, at Kozlovka Pub. It was a classic pub quiz with 11 teams competing, consisting of faculty staff, PhD students, master's students, and our colleagues from CBV. To ensure that everyone from the faculty could participate, the quiz was conducted in English.
A total of 60 questions, divided into five rounds, not only determined who would take home the Dean’s Challenge Cup of the Faculty of Pharmacy but also settled the question of which department is the smartest at our faculty. The tricky questions took participants on a journey around the world and ultimately decided the winner.
The best-performing team, which also won the Dean’s Challenge Cup, was The Young Blood, composed of students from various departments. CBV secured second place, while Czechoslovak Team and Basement Bandidos tied for third. Since both teams were made up of members from the same departments, the titles of the smartest departments at the Faculty of Pharmacy were awarded to the Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology and the Department of Pharmaceutical Technology.
Just as the Dean’s Challenge Cup will find a new holder in the next quiz, the title of the smartest department is also only temporary. What is true today may be entirely different after the next round. That’s why it’s the perfect time to start gaining new knowledge, assemble an all-knowing team, and prepare for the next challenge—coming soon!
