FaF Pub Quiz Delivered a Thrilling Team Showdown

Thursday, 9th October 2025, the second FaF Pub Quiz took place at Kozlovka Pub. Ten teams competed for the title of the smartest team and the smartest department at the faculty. Teams, formed by faculty employees, postgraduate students, our colleagues from CBV, and members of Spolek českých studentů farmácie, racked their brains in a classic pub quiz held in English to suit even foreign participants.

Unlike the first FaF Pub Quiz, the second edition contained just 55 questions and a grand closing tipster question. The rounds were designed to entertain and challenge the participants not only with basic knowledge but also with curiosities from around the world and our neighbourhood.

The title of the smartest team was won by the international team Kaktus Pochodowy, who received a travelling cup designed and made by our Dean, doc. PharmDr. Jaroslav Roh, Ph.D. They earned this honour by scoring 34 points. The title of the smartest department of the faculty was awarded to the departmental team from the Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Analysis, called Octopoda z druhého patra, with a lovely 32 points. The grand closing tipster question was correctly guessed by the team The Peak Seekers, who won a shot of their choice. Congratulations to all three teams!

As we all know, nothing lasts forever, not even time itself, meaning the winning teams won’t keep their titles forever. The travelling cup and the title of the smartest department will remain with the teams only until the next season of FaF Pub Quiz. We hope that you will be able to defend your title during the next pub quiz, and those who didn’t receive any award will fight for it with all their might.
