Samira Eissazadeh won two first prizes at the 28th Atherosclerosis Congress

The 28th Congress on Atherosclerosis, organized by the Czech Society for Atherosclerosis, was held in Brno from 12-14 December 2024. During the congress, the best publications in the field of atherosclerosis for the years 2023/2024 were also evaluated. Here, the first place for the best publication was awarded to M.Sc. Samira Eissazadeh from the Group of Pathology and Pharmacology of Cardiovascular and Metabolic Diseases from the Faculty of Pharmacy of Charles University under the supervision of Prof. PharmDr. Petr Nachtigal, Ph.D. The publication dealt with the importance of endoglin in hepatic sinusoid dysfunction. Furthermore, the congress included a moderated poster session, which Samira Eissazadeh again won with a poster entitled "Anti-endoglin Antibodies as a Therapeutic Approach to Mitigate Liver Sinusoidal Endothelial Dysfunction in NASH: Insights from in vivo and in vitro Models".
