PharmDr. Ivone Cristina Igreja Sá, PhD. from The Group of Pathology and Pharmacology of the Cardiovascular and Metabolic Disorders, led by Prof. PharmDr. Petr Nachtigal, PhD., won the award of the best publication organized by the Czech Society of Hepatology for her recent article: Labetalol and soluble endoglin aggravate bile acid retention in mice with ethinylestradiol-induced cholestasis: Igreja Sa, I. C., Tripska, K., Faradonbeh, A. F., Hroch, M., Lastuvkova, H., Schreiberova, J., Kacerovsky, M., Pericacho, M., Nachtigal, P., and Micuda, S. (2023). Frontiers in Pharmacology 14, 1116422 [IF= 5.6], AIS 059, (Q1). The prize was handed over at the 51st congress of the Czech Society of Hepatology, which was held from 15th to 17th May 2024 in Olomouc, Czech Republic.

This work was carried out at the Charles University, Faculty of Pharmacy under the close guidance and collaboration of Prof. Stanislav Mičuda, M.D., Ph.D. from the Faculty of Medicine of Charles University in Hradec Králové. PharmDr. Ivone Cristina Igreja Sá, PhD., successfully completed her PhD at the Charles University, Faculty of Pharmacy and is currently a postdoc researcher at our faculty. Her primary research focus is on the cellular and molecular mechanisms of liver disease in animal models, specifically non-alcoholic steatohepatitis and intrahepatic cholestasis.
