Update of measures against the spread of covid19 from October 25, 2021

At the meeting on October 20, 2021 the Government of the Czech Republic discussed changes to anti-epidemic measures; we also bring changes relevant to the activities of our faculty.

A. From 25 October, the obligation to use a respirator will be reintroduced in all interiors of buildings, including workplaces, with certain exceptions, eg for teaching staff or for staff who will be alone in the workplace.

RESPIRATORY PROTECTION

1. With effect from 25 October 2021, all persons are prohibited from moving and staying without respiratory protective equipment (nose, mouth), which is a respirator or similar device (always without an exhalation valve) meeting at least all technical conditions and requirements (for the product ), including a filtration efficiency of at least 94% according to relevant standards (eg FFP2, CN 95), which prevent the spread of droplets (hereinafter referred to as a “respirator”), namely:

(a) in the interiors of buildings which serve as:

vi) a college, school or school facility, with the exception of primary school pupils in primary school, school group or school club, lower six-year and eight-year grammar school pupils in grammar school education, pupils in the first four years of the conservatory's eight-year education program at the conservatory and applicants for secondary school education during the entrance examination, if they use the protective equipment referred to in point 2,

vii) a museum, gallery, exhibition space, a publicly accessible monumental or cultural object (castle, chateau and similar historical object, etc.), an observatory and a planetarium or a place where a trade fair or trade fair is held,

b) in all other interior spaces of buildings not listed in letter a), outside the residence or place of accommodation (eg hotel room), where at least 2 persons less than 1.5 meters apart are present at the same place and at the same time , if they are not exclusively members of the household,

c) in means of public transport, including means of road transport for other people's use, the subject of which is the transport of persons (especially taxi service),

d) in the case of spectators present at concerts and other musical, theatrical, film and other artistic performances, in circuses and variety shows and at sports matches,

e) when participating in congresses, educational events and exams in full-time form,

f) when participating in a public or private event, including an assembly pursuant to Act No. 84/1990 Coll., On the right of assembly, as amended, in which there is an accumulation of persons, if they are not exclusively members of the household, on one a place in outdoor areas in the event that 30 or more persons who do not keep a distance of at least 1.5 meters from each other take part in the event at the same time.

 

2. The prohibition set out in point 1 shall not apply to:

b) children, pupils, students and pedagogical staff pursuant to the Education Act and students and academic staff pursuant to Act No. 111/1998 Coll., on Higher Education Institutions and on Amendments to Other Acts (Act on Higher Education Institutions), as amended, in within the framework of an educational activity, the nature of which does not allow the wearing of a protective equipment (especially physical training, singing, playing wind instruments),

c) children in the preparatory class of primary school, children in the preparatory stage of special primary school, pupils and students in education who sit on a bench or are otherwise seated,

d) pedagogical staff or academic staff in the provision of education,

e) examiner and examiner during an examination at school or university, if all persons maintain a distance of at least 1.5 meters,

o) persons during work at the workplace or during other similar activities during the time when they perform this activity in one place without the presence of another person, unless he is an employer on the basis of adopted and implemented hygienic, technical, organizational and other prevention measures risks are determined otherwise,

y) athletes or trainers during training, exercise, wrestling, competition, etc., including running and cycling, as well as coaches, other team members in team sports and referees when participating in or preparing for sports activities held in in the framework of competitions organized by sports federations or umbrella sports organizations,

ee) persons who, for serious health reasons, cannot wear a respirator or a veil and are able to prove this by a medical certificate; however, such persons shall be required to wear another respiratory protective device in accordance with this measure as specified in the medical certificate, unless the medical certificate expressly states that the person concerned may not wear any respiratory protective equipment.

 

B. The validity of the tests will also be shortened - the antigen test will now only be valid for 24 hours, the PCR test 72 hours. At the same time, the Ministry of Health of the Czech Republic decided to limit the payment of preventive tests to SARS-CoV 19. Entitlement to free testing (RAT antigen test once every seven days and two PCR tests per calendar month) condition cannot be vaccinated and persons who have received at least one dose of vaccination. At the same time, the age limit for children who do not have to prove OTN is increased from six to twelve years, and if it is an organized sports competition, this age limit is increased to 18 years.
