1373 - prolongation of the state of emergency

The Government is prolonging until 22 January 2021 the state of emergency declared by Government Resolution No. 957 of 30 September 2020;
provides that all measures taken in the event of a state of emergency in force on the date of adoption of this Government Resolution shall remain in force to the extent that they have been adopted.

1375 - free movement

Government with effect from 27 December 2020 until 10 January 2021

I. prohibits the free movement of persons throughout the Czech Republic from 21:00 to 04:59, with the exception of:

  • travel to and from business or other similar activities
  • the exercise of the profession,
  • journeys back to your place of residence;

II. prohibits the free movement of persons throughout the Czech Republic from 05:00 to 20:59, with the exception of:

  • travel to and from business or other similar activities
  • the exercise of the profession
  • journeys for the purpose of departure from the Czech Republic
  • journeys to take part in education, including traineeships and examinations
  • journeys back to your place of residence;

III. orders

  • to restrict movement to public places for the time strictly necessary and reside at his place of residence, except in the cases referred to in points I and II
  • to limit contacts with other persons to what is strictly necessary
  • to stay in publicly accessible places for a maximum of 2 people, with the exception of
    - employees performing work for the same employer,
    - pupils and students in the provision of education in schools or school facilities,
    and keep a distance of at least 2 meters when in contact with other persons, if possible,
  • employers to use telework if employees can perform it at the place of residence due to the nature of the work and the operating conditions;

V. recommends to employers

  • to promote leave and paid leave for employees and similar instruments provided for in the collective agreement,
  • to limit the performance of work that is not significant for the maintenance of the employer's activities

1376 - shops and services

The government bans with effect from 27 December 2020 to 10 January 2021

  • congresses, educational events and examinations in full-time form, with the exception of practical teaching and practice according to Act No. 95/2004 Coll., on the conditions for acquiring and recognizing professional competence and specialized competence for the medical profession Act No. 96/2004 Coll., on the conditions for obtaining and recognizing competence to perform non-medical health professions and to perform activities related to the provision of health care and on the amendment of some related acts (Act on non-medical health professions), and examinations regulations for the performance of certain activities, unless they are examinations that are part of education pursuant to Act No. 111/1998 Coll., on Higher Education Institutions; at the same time, the presence of more than 10 persons at a time and, if the examination is public according to the legal regulation, more than 3 other members of the public is prohibited,
  • operation and use of sports grounds in indoor areas of buildings and indoor areas of outdoor sports grounds, with the exception of sports activities in schools or school facilities and universities, where crisis measures allow it
  • visits and tours of botanical gardens

The government restricts the operation of libraries by prohibiting the issuance of loans and their return other than contactlessly,

1377 - schools and school facilities

The government limits with effect from 27 December 2020 to 10 January 2021

  • operation of higher education institutions pursuant to Act No. 111/1998 Coll., on Higher Education Institutions and on Amendments to Other Acts (Act on Higher Education Institutions), as amended, including foreign higher education institutions and their branches operating in the Czech Republic (hereinafter "Higher education institutions") by prohibiting the personal presence of students in classes and examinations, where more than 10 persons take part in the examination at the same time, when studying at higher education institutions and participating in lifelong learning courses; Prohibition of personal presence of students according to this point does not apply to participation in clinical and practical teaching and practice of students in study programs in general medicine, dentistry, pharmacy and other medical study programs
  • operation of higher education institutions by prohibiting the provision of accommodation to university students who have a different residence in the Czech Republic in university accommodation establishments, with the exception of students who may participate in education pursuant to point 1
  • the operation of higher education institutions by prohibiting sports activities as part of education
