Instructions for online presentation

The conference will be held in a hybrid format. Please, fill in the form to help us to organize the sections at the 12th Postgraduate and Postdoc Conference!

Primarily, all sections will be "In-person" at the designated lecture hall and broadcasted online via Microsoft Teams software. Only Section 2 - Clinical and Social Pharmacy will be fully online.

All online participants will access the conference via the Teams channels to particular sections (links will be sent by email to all participants and faculty members). These channels will work for all participants, whether accessed from a computer within the Faculty of Pharmacy or another computer/mobile device outside. The access to the online channels from outside does not require the MS Team software license – the link will enable access to everyone. Please, for more general details of the Teams software, check the video training and this manual. To test your internet connection and your presentation, please visit the testing room, which will be opened a couple of days before the conference (link will be sent by email).

All contributions will be presented as short lectures up to 15 min (max. 12 min + 3 min discussion)

Prepare your presentation in Microsoft PowerPoint (pptx).

Presentation of your lecture:

a) Presentation "In-person" (in the lecture hall) – the preferred choice.

You will present your presentation in the designated lecture hall using MS Teams (“hybrid format”) using the “shared content.” This makes it possible to listen and discuss with all participants both in the hall and online. The chairperson will assist you with arranging the presentation if necessary. It is expected that the number of participants present in the lecture hall will be limited to 20 in one moment, following all current epidemiological measures.

Prepare your presentation in PowerPoint, name it "XXXNN_Surname.pptx" (XXXNN is your code from the program of your section: BPC - Bioorganic and Pharmaceutical Chemistry, PT - Pharmaceutical Technology, BPT - Biochemistry, Pharmacology and Toxicology, CSP - Clinical and Social Pharmacy, PBA - Pharmaceutical Analysis and Bioanalytical Chemistry, or PG - Pharmacognosy and Toxicology of Natural Compounds ) and send it to the email chocholous@faf.cuni.cz. The deadline is the day before your section! Your presentation will be uploaded on the presenting computer by organizers. There is no possibility to upload your presentation in the lecture hall using USB.

For presentation:

  • Be ready in the hall at least 10 minutes before your presentation's scheduled time.
  • Prepare your presentation for sharing. It is either on the desktop or directly in the meeting's file list.
  • Wait for the introduction of the section by the chairperson.
  • Start sharing your presentation.
  • Control the presentation (change slides) using standard controls of PowerPoint (Right and Left arrows or mouse). Use a mouse pointer as a laser pointer to highlight necessary items in your slides during the presentation.
  • When you finish with the presentation, wait for a discussion moderated by the chairperson.
  • When the chairperson announces the end of your presentation, stop sharing your presentation.

b) Presenting from a computer out of the lecture hall

We strongly encourage you to use the faculty internet connection rather than your home internet connection, as it can influence the quality of your presentation.

For presentation:

  • Be connected online in your section at least 10 minutes before your presentation's scheduled time.
  • Wait for the introduction of the section chairperson.
  • Unmute your microphone and share your desktop or the window with your presentation. It is recommended to use a headset (headphones+microphone).
  • When the chairperson announces the end of your presentation, stop sharing your presentation and mute your microphone.
