The Department of Languages provides language training for undergraduate students in the form of seminars and individual consultations. The aim of the language training is to familiarize students with the foreign language terminology of the individual pharmaceutical study programmes and to deepen their knowledge of grammar, especially as regards the peculiarities of professional pharmaceutical and medical style.
The curriculum of the Faculty of Pharmacy includes two semesters of compulsory Latin lessons and four semesters of optional English, German, or French lessons. Students take a compulsory examination in Latin and one other language of their choice.
For foreign students studying in English, there are four semesters of seminars in Czech.
Students are also offered UNIcert®III language courses in professional pharmaceutical and medical English.
Students in doctoral studies have the possibility of organized and individual preparation for the professional English examination under the guidance of the language teachers.
